Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University (TNTU) actively works towards the implementation of internationalization strategy for higher education and development of international collaboration.

On January 30, 2019, the rector of TNTU prof. Petro Yasniy and the CEO of Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF, Warsaw, Poland) Mrs. Renata Żukowska signed an agreement on the establishment of the first Indo-European Centre in Ukraine as representative of IEEF at TNTU, Ternopil, Ukraine.

The purpose of the Indo-European Centre establishment is creation of a unique institutional platform for academic, non-academic and industrial collaboration between India, Ukraine and EU member states. It is aimed at:

  • facilitation of opportunities for Ukrainian, Indian and other European universities to conduct joint scientific-research work;
  • encouragement of Indian students to obtain higher education in Ukraine at all educational levels;
  • support of the development and promotion of Ukrainian cultural heritage in India and Indian in Ukraine;
  • provision of awareness for current business opportunities in India and Ukraine and improvement of bilateral business relations.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Head of Scientific Cooperation of IEEF Prof. Andrzej Dabkowski, the parties discussed main goals of the Indo-European Center establishment and directions for its further work.
